^35 (A)Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their ^[a]release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; ³⁶ and others ^[b]experienced mockings and floggings, yes, also ^(B)chains and imprisonment. ³⁷ They were ^(C)stoned, they were ^(D)sawn in two, ^[c]they were tempted, they were ^(E)put to death with the sword.
